From Reassurance Emails to Industry Shifts: Finding Balance between Microscope and Telescope

At work, it’s easy to get pulled deep into the microscopic details—

especially when customers ask for reassurance:
“Just to confirm, A means X, correct?”
”Oh, then X would mean we could do Y,Z, correct?”

That focus matters. But I do feel zooming in too much makes me forget the bigger picture.

Sometimes, it’s just as critical to switch to the telescopic view—

looking beyond the immediate, at industry shifts like the rise of stablecoin adoption or the necessity of post-quantum cryptography adoption.

My current role often demands the microscope.

That’s why I make a conscious effort to bring out the telescope.

And LinkedIn has been the perfect place to do that—learning from others, spotting trends, and connecting with vocal professionals.

After all, I believe we all need both although the ratio might depend on each of our roles:
